I steady the chair.

I'm proud.

Proud you wanted to do this.

Up the shelves we ascend.

From earth to purgatory.

To heaven.

You lay the photo to rest.

A printout, really.

Ink smears your hand.

Now flowers.

Grocery store roses.

They didn't have marigolds.

Now libations.

He probably liked Coke.

You like Coke.

I cry.

Will you remember this?

Will you tell a therapist one day?

I sigh.

Because Ryan's alive and well.
