Babies in the Park

I gaze out my window, and

I see

three little babies

playing in the neighborhood park.

Three little ladies

under three. My heart aches,

a childless mother– I am,

the needs of

my happiness reflected, just

out of reach. My womb

swells in desperation, an

empty vessel yearning

to grow new

life.
